Lisa Larsen Rainsberger, previously known as Lisa Larsen Weidenbach, (born December 13, 1961) is a long distance runner. As of 2015, she is the last American woman to have won the Boston Marathon for the past thirty years. She is a member of the University of Michigan Track and Field and Road Runners of America Halls of Fame. Her marathon times were among the top ten in the US in 1984 and 1987-1994. As of 2008, she was listed four times in the top 100 all-time US women's marathon performances, with a best time of 2:28:15. Competitor.com magazine ranked her as the sixth top American marathoner of all time.

Humble, down to Earth, living the American dream. Short book with the details that I wanted to know while leaving out private aspects of her life. Hard working and caring immigrant father, mother and daughter attain success. Very different from "Dandelion Growing Wild: A triumphant journey over astounding odds by American marathon champion Kim Jones" that I was unfortunate enough to read.
