This is an awesome book with a great introduction using the author's personal experience. This is powerful stuff. It really spoke to me because I'm all about functional training. I don't care so much about the shape of my butt as the shape of my health. I care less about the numbers of the circumference of my butt than the numbers of my blood pressure. The fact that these exercises make me look good is just a wonderful side effect. If you only buy one book on strength exercises, this should be it! As long as you are disciplined and stick with it, it will change your life. Guaranteed!

I went searching for a book that could help me do exercises that would develop my body. I found that Jonathan's book. I kept using the excuse that I didn't have the money to purchase a gym membership or to buy the weights that I thought I needed. This book helped me understand that I don't have to spend money to get fit. These exercises are not just for the pro athletes but starts where you are and graduates you to a new level.

getting in shape

What I enjoyed about this book were the many weight training exercise, I love a variety. The book was very organized and has different sections for whatever part that you want to work out. I do a lot of cardio but now I'm losing weight so I need to start toning. I've heard of some of these exercise, but it's nice to get a reminder of what I need to be doing. I also like that there's pictures in the book of some of the exercises, you don't see that in many of the books. All in all, I found the perfect exercises that I'm going to do starting tomorrow to tone up, starting with my core.
