A 5-star, must have if you love the countryside setting!

I LOVED THIS BOOK! Especially how Joyce Mackie described starting at Kemble on Day 1 through walking into London on Day 16. I'm a lover of England's gorgeous country towns and its cities too and hope to go there one day soon. If you love England's countryside too, you have to get this book, Walking the Thames River Path.

I give Joyce Mackie 5 stars for making the walk ...

I give Joyce Mackie 5 stars for making the walk but the book less as it was missing the human touch. She walked alone and had a bare minimum of contact with others. I feel that she waited a while to write the book and referred back to the guide book for the descriptions, some how the personal view was missing. I guess I expect the old Paul Theroux in my travel book reads and that is a big expectation.
