Unbelievable!

But then Mrs. Cheplin, the client, starts giving Stacey this incredible list of housechores. And after awhile Stacey gets tired of it and does something she should have done at the beginning.

I did enjoy this book. I read it on a car trip and it actually kept me awake (car rides put me to sleep no matter what I am doing usually). I felt so bad for Stacy and I too have had babysitting clients who try to make me do house chores on top of watching the kids. You could really feel her stress in this and I loved to hate the women who she was working for. Definetly a good read if you're a fan of Stacy!

Daniel Duane grew up in Berkeley, California. He is the author of seven books and has written for a variety of publications, including The New York Times Magazine, Outside, National Geographic Adventure, Esquire, GQ, Men's Health, Bon Appetit, Food & Wine, and Sierra.

I was a really big fan of Duane's "Caught Inside" ...

I was a really big fan of Duane's "Caught Inside", so I recently ordered this book. While very entertaining and enjoyable, it kind of was lacking in depth or character development. Not nearly as cohesive or compelling as Caught Inside...still, very enjoyable. I finished it in two days, so I did find it very engaging.

Book is fine, Kindle edition is poorly done.

The book is informative, I particularly appreciated the last chapter on Southern California surf fishing spots. The Kindle edition isn't always well formatted, some sections break lines across pages, chopping up sentences badly. Also, "Go To" only works by location numbers, not page numbers. You are left simply guessing location numbers to get the chapter you want. There is no functioning Table of Contents.

A good source of information, but more of a long pamphlet than a book

Poorly written, poorly edited, and poorly formatted for the Kindle version. It has useful information, but that information is typically repeated 3-4 times throughout the course of this already very short "book." Really, it seems like an amalgam of the author's articles in Western Outdoor News--or vice versa. I'm new to surf fishing and I really enjoy it, so I am happy have read the book. Just the info on where to go in Southern California is worth the price. That said, however, the author would be better served not trying so hard to fluff up the page count.

This is an extremely basic book about starting to PLAN a hiking trip. This book should definitely NOT be the only source used. I was able to read this book in approximately 15 minutes during lunch.

An awesome collection of short mc stories. Just a few paragraphs each but the author manages to set up an amazing scene and implant the idea of each character and what their life must consist of. I found myself making up my own little stories in my head as to what came before and after. Definitely showcases this authors talent!
